Keep creativity alive

Why? Because we all need it. We need it for our work, our homes, parenting, movement & exercise, happiness & joy, you name it. This short but powerful, animated film shows you (without a single word spoken) just how vital it is to let your true self shine.

We all have to go to work, school or partake in mandatory activities in our daily lives. We all live with routines, societal structures and both perceived & real pressures. Our challenge is to find a rhythm for these things that fits to who we are. Sounds big, sounds deep I know. And I'm not suggesting you run off into the wilderness and leave destruction in your path. The art to living a creative life, is not loosing sight of what is essential to us as individuals.

I've shared this short film widely with friends and family before, and I encourage you to share it also.

I hope you can go out into the world each day to walk 'your' walk, and talk 'your' talk, because the world doesn't need clones and robots. It doesn't need perfection either. It needs creative, individual thinkers that collaborate to make communities work.

All credit goes to Madrid based animators, Daniel Martinez Lara and Rafa Cano Mendez, and Uplifted Life for their website, where I first came across this film.

For more on being the individual you are and living a creative life, read a Dr Seuss book (my favourite is 'Oh the places you'll go') or follow an individual thinker, mover or shaker online that inspires you (perhaps you'll seek out The Accidental Icon, Lyn Slater, or self-proclaimed life enthusiast Mark Manson). It doesn't matter how you choose to express your creativity, but try every day to be you.
