Creativity of a different sort

Over the weekend I wrote this poem. Poetry isn't something that comes naturally to me, and isn't a creative outlet I have explored much at all. But there are a few books I have read recently that must have lead me to a moment of quiet on Saturday, pencil in hand, sun light on my notebook.

I love that reading varied things, exploring imagined and real worlds, meeting fictional and real characters, can spark thoughts in our own minds and give us knowledge and new understandings. Great to have your eyes opened and your perspective broadened.
