Artist in residency

From July 20th - August 1st, I'm taking part in an artist in residence programme at Kina Gallery in New Plymouth. An opportunity to visit this creative space each day and create new work.

My current body of work explores what lies below. An uncovering of truth, a challenge to the status quo and a discovery of symbiotic inner workings beneath the surface. Amidst the biomorphic forms and organic mark making of these poetically rendered abstract works you'll see botanical references, including coral like forms.

The works and my working process is a careful choreography and a celebration of light and life. A painterly exposé of hidden worlds and micro-climates, of mankind’s impact, and of hope for new direction.

On Saturday 1st August, 3-5pm Kina will host an event in the gallery to celebrate the 2 week residency. All welcome.
