Telling authentic stories that
communicate meaning and connect us

I've had a the privilege to work alongside Māori advisors to be a visual story teller for corporate and community organisations, including kura – using te reo, traditional designs and local narratives to connect and communicate.

Not only does this work allow organisations to anchor their operations to the place from which they work, it also allows them to speak with respect, relevance, authenticity and awareness when sharing about the work they do, the people they work with and importantly acknowledging heritage and those that have come before.

This work requires consultation, collaboration and broad exploration. Whilst the final illustrations and graphics are my work, the outcomes are enriched by the input of many people along the creation journey. When organisations choose to engage in visual narratives for their brand and communications, we become kaitiaki (guardians) of the stories for future generations.
