"Listen to the art"

And listen to your heart. It's Mental Health Awareness Week 2019, and you'll have no doubt seen the campaign in advertising or spoken about it within your workplace, hopefully within your household and friends network too.


These days the sharing of information around mental health and in particular wellbeing tips on what we can bring to our everyday lives, are everywhere. And knowledge is great, but if we don't act on it, then we don't see the true power.

As an artist and arts-based learning facilitator, I've see first hand the positive impact creativity can have for mental health. And this drives me on a daily basis to not only include creative outlets in my own life, but to be a creativity advocate for others.


It doesn't have to be a big project and you don't have to be a skilled professional. Simple and small things can each day, can add up to have a big impact.
